Below is general information about The Good Karma Music & Arts Festival, including location, what to bring, what not bring, festival rules and more!

  • The Good Karma Music & Arts Festival is a one day outdoor music and art festival that is held at The Santa Clarita Skatepark and Field in Santa Clarita, CA. The Good Karma Music & Arts Festival is produced by the Yes I Can Unity Through Music & Education (“YIC”) non-profit organization along with students enrolled in YIC’s Festival Project program . The goal of this music festival is to bring the public together to support the hiring of disabled creatives in entertainment industry careers and celebrate art and music in a positive, diverse, and socially inclusive setting. The Good Karma Music & Arts Festival will feature musical artists with live painters creating one of a kind art pieces inspired by the music they hear on two main stages, as well as DJs will be performing on a separate DJ stage. You will come for the music, but leave inspired by the talented YIC students who plan, prepare and produce this incredible event.

  • The Santa Clarita Skatepark and Field is located at 20840 Centre Pointe Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.

  • You will enter the venue off Golden Valley Road onto Centre Pointe Parkway. Parking attendants will direct you to the closest open parking lot on the venue grounds. We strongly encourage utilizing carpooling, public transportation, and ride-sharing.

  • Festival rules and important notices apply to all ticket purchasers, ticket holders and all visitors on the festival site:

    All ticket purchasers, ticket holders and all visitors are required to respect public order and peace at the Festival.

    RESPECT other people's leisure and free time.

    The Festival Organizer has the right to ban entry to any visitor that could potentially endanger the safety of other visitors or cause problems.

    Loud music may damage hearing – we advise the use of safety earplugs

    Please note, strobe lights, flashing lights and lasers may be used during some live performances which may be harmful to people with photosensitive epilepsy.

    The Festival reserves to right to make changes to the festival schedule, program, and line up.

    All visitors and their belongings will be inspected for their personal safety.

    The Festival is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Take care of your belongings!

    Visitors park their vehicles at the Festival site at their own risk.

    Participation at the Festival is at the Vistors’ own risk. The Festival is not liable for any damages, by whatever name, suffered by a Visitor as a result of the participation, unless the damage is a direct consequence of deliberate intent or gross negligence on the part of the Festival. This exclusion of liability also applies to serious damages, such as all possible damages resulting in injury or death.

    The Festival reserves the right to decline or forbid entrance into the Festival site to any person behaving in a manner or carrying items that may in any way endanger the safety of the visitors or violate rules of peaceful conduct.

    All ticket purchasers, ticket holders and all visitors on the Festival site who would like to be granted access the Festival Beer & Wine Garden to purchase alcoholic drinks will be required to have their IDs scanned first to verify that the individual is of legal age to drink alcoholic beverages. Once verified, the individual will be provided with a special wristband to be able to access the Beer & Wine Garden to purchase alcohol. Under age or visibly intoxicated individuals will not be given access to or served alcoholic drinks in the Beer & Wine Garden.

    Children under the age of 12, accompanied by an adult (parent or legal guardian) with a valid festival ticket, are allowed entrance to the festival venue free of charge.

    Visitors agree to be photographed, filmed or recorded as part of the audience. All video, photo and audio materials acquired on festival site is subject to be used in promotional materials for the festival without any limitations of time and space and at the sole discretion of the Festival and its Organizers.

    The Festival will offer a cashless and contactless payment system for purchase of select goods and services on the festival site. All important info and rules for the use of the cashless and contactless system are listed on the festival website and apply to all visitors who choose to purchase select items utilizing the cashless and contactless payment system.

    Merchandise sales are organized and will be available only within the festival venue.

    It is strictly forbidden to use or distribute festival tickets for commercial purposes, marketing campaigns, lotteries and contest purposes without the written consent from the Festival Organizer. Legal steps will be taken against any person or organization who attempt to do so without the written permission from the Festival Organizers.

    The Festival Organizer reserves the right to curtail or cancel the entire Festival event in case an unexpected force majeure event occurs that threatens the safety of visitors and/or public order on the festival site.

    Refunds are not possible in the case of full cancellation or curtailment of parts of the Festival event due to force majeure such as: extreme weather conditions endangering the safety of the audience or artists, inclement weather, fire, death of illness of a performing artist or their immediate family, delays or shutdowns of traffic routes (airports, border crossings, etc.), war, terrorist acts or terrorist threats, violence, or due to legally binding decisions by local or national authorities to shut down the event for justifiable security reasons, national mourning day decrees that forbid any cultural or entertainment events taking place, or other decisions by national authorities that are beyond the control of the Festival Organizers. If the Festival event is cancelled due to force majeure, no new date will be set to reschedule, and no entry fees and/or additional expenses will be refunded to ticket holders.

    The Festival Organizer is not liable for any damages and costs incurred by ticket purchasers, ticket holders and all other visitors in the case of a force majeure event.

    Refunds for already purchased Festival tickets will be possible only in the case of the cancellation of the entire Festival event for reasons other than force majeure. Refunds are not possible for other reasons or in case of cancellation of one or more artists confirmed to perform at the Festival event.

    Tickets purchased for the Festival will be replaced at the festival entrance with a valid wristband. Only Visitors with a valid Festival wristband are allowed entry and movement in the festival area. Festival wristbands may not be removed, cut, torn or damaged in any way or they cease to be valid. The festival reserves the right to request identity validation from the ticket holder by presenting a valid ID to the festival staff upon request.

    Festival wristbands are valid for one entrance to the festival site for the festival day - upon entering the festival site your wristband is valid only until you leave the festival site. For security and safety reasons the festival implements a One entrance / One exit per day rule at the main festival entrance. Once you exit the festival site, you cannot return to the festival site.

    PLEASE NOTE, IT IS FORBIDDEN:

    To light fires or barbecues on the Festival site.

    To damage festival infrastructure and the natural environment of the festival site – tearing of branches, trees, destroying of green surfaces, littering, or discarding waste in any other place other than a trashcan, etc. is strictly forbidden!

    All festival attendees are forbidden to bring any inflammable fuels, pyrotechnics and explosive devices, etc. onto the Festival site.

    Any damages, equipment or installation malfunction or any evidence of non-compliance with these rules of order at the Festival must be reported to Festival personnel.

    ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

    All festival attendees are required to maintain order and cleanliness of the Festival site/venue.

    All festival attendees are required to conserve the green areas at the Festival venue and are forbidden to tear down or climb branches or trees, destroy green surfaces or throw waste into anything other than a trashcan.

    All festival attendees are required to leave the Festival site in the same condition as found before their arrival.

    CONSEQUENCES FOR FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE RULES:

    All ticket purchasers, ticket holders and all visitors on the Festival site are obliged to comply with all the provisions of the listed rules of order and conduct at the Festival.

    If there is evidence of non-compliance with these rules, the Festival Organizer has the right to remove the individual, or individuals, in question from the Festival site immediately without any sort of reimbursement or refund.

    In case of the removal of any individual or individuals who violate these Rules, the individual removed must pay compensation for any and all damages.

  • Security and safety are of utmost importance. We work hand in hand with law enforcement and public safety agencies to help ensure the safety of our events. Because of those very same concerns, we are unable to publicly comment on detailed, specific actions which are taken. Some of the security measures you will notice upon your arrival such as bag checks and walk-through metal detector wands (magnetometers) for all attendees, staff and performers.

    Please note that we will implement searches upon festival entry. Please arrive early and note the Prohibited Items list, these will be confiscated / surrendered upon entry.

    Face coverings are recommended for those with compromised immune systems.

    In the event of an emergency, information may be relayed on the video screens and over the audio system.

    If you, or a friend, require medical assistance please locate your nearest medical tent or alert festival personnel.

    And remember: if you see something, say something. Flag down any festival personnel if you notice something that doesn’t seem quite right.

  • All attendees agree to follow festival policies (including health and safety policies) and posted instructions while at the festival. According to the CDC, older adults and people of all ages with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. All attendees should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend the festival. By entering the festival, attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and confirm that they will adhere to local quarantine mandates and the CDC quarantine requirements.

  • The event shall be presented in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of the event and which may change at any time as determined by federal, state or local government agencies or instrumentalities, artists or the promoter; such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures and attendance requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings. If any ticket holder does not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders or directives, promoter or event terms, conditions or rules, then the promoter or event operator may refuse admission to the event or require the ticket holder to leave the venue and such ticket holder will not be entitled to a refund.

  • COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. There is an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place or place where people are present and there is no guarantee, express or implied, that those attending the festival will not be exposed to COVID-19.

  • NO backpacks and medium to large purses or bags are allowed to be brought into the venue, EXCEPT for the following:

    Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12.”;

    One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, i.e. Ziploc bag or something similar;

    Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (and that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5”), with or without a handle or strap; and

    Clear plastic Hydration packs (empty upon entry), i.e. clear plastic CamelBak bag or something similar.

    For the avoidance of doubt, iridescent, color-tinted, and opalescent bags are NOT allowed; they must be clear.

  • Eligibility

    It is not acceptable to fake or exaggerate a disability to gain access to disability accommodations. Our ADA department has finite resources and needs to focus these resources on helping those who legitimately require assistance.

    Accessibility Services

    There are 3 Accessibility Services locations conveniently located throughout the festival to support and address the needs of all attendees with accessibility needs. These locations are: ADA Parking, inside the festival grounds, and outside of the main entrance.

    There is no ADA pre-event registration.

    At the festival entrance, you can:

    1) Get your ADA wristband credential.

    2) Have your ADA questions answered.

    3) Learn about all accessibility services.

    ADA Wristband

    Disabled attendees wishing to utilize some of the accessibility services at Good Karma Fest will be required to wear an ADA Wristband. This wristband is acquired onsite at one of our Accessibility Services locations. There is not an “ADA ticket” that needs to be purchased in order to utilize accessibility services at Good Karma Fest.

    ADA Wristbands are good for the duration of the festival.

    DO NOT remove your wristband for the duration of the festival.

    One (1) ADA Companion Wristband will be issued per disabled patron.

    Additional Wristbands may be issued for families with young children.

    If a disabled attendee wants to switch their companion, a new ADA Companion Wristband can be exchanged by bringing the old companion wristband back to an Accessibility Services Hub to be reissued.

    Mobility Disabilities

    We encourage patrons with mobility disabilities to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters. Crutches, walkers and canes are also permitted. Please note that we will not be renting assisted mobility devices onsite.

    Accessible Routes

    The venue is navigable for people with mobility disabilities. Please be advised that the venue’s terrain is mostly grass. VIP areas are accessible. Guests will need to traverse throughout the festival grounds between stages independently or with the assistance of a companion as the festival does not provide transportation around the festival grounds.

    Charging

    If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair or other medical equipment, you may do so at the First Aid Tent outside of the Vendor Village.

    Bring all cords and accessories needed to charge your devices.

    Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.

    We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.

    Parking

    Separate ADA Parking will be available for attendees with valid Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate, as well as the applicable proof that it belongs to them.

    To utilize ADA Parking, you must have:

    Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate.

    DMV-issued documentation that accompanies the Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license, and corresponding ID.

    Documentation will be verified by law enforcement.

    The person to whom the placard, permit or license plate is issued in the vehicle.

    Festival Wristbands worn by all individuals in the vehicle.

    It is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required credentials or to fraudulently use credentials in order to gain access to Accessible Parking.

    Entrance: The main park entrance off Centre Pointe Parkway is wheelchair accessible. Please note that festival visitors should bring their own wheelchairs, canes, etc. The festival does not provide wheelchairs or walking aids.

    Wheelchair accessible restrooms will be available.

    Additional Services

    Service Animals

    Service animals are permitted throughout the festival.

    Rules

    NO emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals.

    Pets are not allowed and will be turned away.

    Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.

    Service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered. If these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls.

    Service animals must be housebroken and should use the service animal relief area.

    Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.

    All animals should have legally required vaccinations (which may need to be verified).

    Concessions

    All concessions are accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required, please confer with a festival staff member.

    Medical

    A fully-equipped medical site staffed by trained personnel will be located at the festival to manage any issues. Check the Festival Maps for exact locations.

    Medications

    All prescription medications must be in the original manufacturer container with your name on it, which matches your government-issued photo ID. Please only bring a sufficient amount of medication for the duration of the event. Your medications must be cleared by the medical team at the event entry. Upon entry, ask for a crowd management supervisor to connect you with a member of the medical team.

    Dietary Needs

    Good Karma Fest will have food vendors that provide gluten-free dietary options. For those with special dietary needs beyond the festival food service, please contact us at info@goodkarmafest.com for further information.

    Additional Service Requests

    Good Karma Fest will consider any request by an attendee with a disability for reasonable modification of its policies, practices or procedures or for auxiliary aids and services that will permit the attendee equal enjoyment of the goods and services offered at the Festival. We encourage you to make any such request as far in advance as possible to enhance our ability to evaluate and fulfill the request.

    Please note that it may take up to three business days (weekends not included) to receive a response. During the week of the event, you can expect a response within 24 hours. If you are already onsite at the event and require assistance, please visit any of our Accessibility Services locations onsite to receive direct assistance.

However, sometimes we need to change the cost of tickets, either up or down. Ticket prices may be changed at any time without further notice.
